Who We’re Looking For (Requirements)

  • Bachelor’s Degree: In Education, Early Childhood Development, or a directly related field.
  • Relevant Teaching Experience: Demonstrated experience working with primary-aged children (ages 5-11).
  • Impeccable Background: Must provide a verifiable Clean Criminal Record Check.
  • Driver’s License : Valid license is beneficial for some locations/schools (not mandatory for all).
  • Adaptability & Cultural Sensitivity: Essential for thriving in a new country and school environment.

Position Responsibilities & Tasks

Primary Teacher Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Delivery & Development: Develop engaging course content aligned with the school’s curriculum. Prepare lesson plans, subject materials, and utilize diverse teaching methods (discussions, audio-visual aids, field trips).
  • Student Assessment & Growth: Evaluate, document, and report on individual student progress through assignments, tests, and observations. Prepare, administer, and grade tests and homework.
  • Individualized Support: Identify students’ unique learning needs and design/implement effective remedial programs.
  • Holistic Development: Lead activities fostering students’ physical, mental, social development, and school readiness.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Discuss student progress and results constructively with students, parents/guardians, school officials, and support staff.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Supervise and support Teaching Assistants; may train student teachers.
  • Professional Engagement: Participate actively in staff meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

  • Classroom Support: Assist the Primary Teacher in delivering lessons, preparing materials, and managing classroom activities and student behavior.
  • Individual & Small Group Support: Provide targeted assistance to students, including those with special needs or requiring extra help, under the teacher’s direction.
  • Student Supervision & Engagement: Support students during learning activities, breaks, and field trips, promoting their well-being and participation.
  • Progress Monitoring: Assist the teacher in observing, recording, and reporting on student progress and behavior.
  • Learning Environment: Help maintain a safe, organized, positive, and stimulating classroom atmosphere.
  • Team Participation: Attend relevant staff meetings and training sessions as required.
